Become a member
Every social work researcher, teacher, expert, student or practitioner is warmly welcome to become a member of the Society of Social Work Research! Working communities can also apply for membership of the Society.
You can become a member of the Society of Social Work Research by filling in the membership application form. Applications will be processed by the Board of the Society. Approved members will be sent membership-related material by email after approval.

Membership benefits
- Free participation in the annual Social Work Research Days (non-membership 60€/day and 100€/2days) and any other national events organised by the Society. NOTE! Free participation in the Social Work Research Days is subject to the timely payment of the membership fee for the previous year.
- Newsletters and membership mails
- The Society of Social Work Research publishes Nordic Social Work Research journal in cooperation with other Nordic social work research associations. Our members can subscribe to the journal through the Society of Social Work Research at the price of 36,00 EUR/year by contacting the Society’s secretary. For more information about the NSWR journal.
- Our members can subscribe to Socialvetenskap Tidsskrift through the Society of Social Work Research at the price of 17,00 EUR/year by contacting the Society’s secretary. More information about the SVT journal.
- In addition to the above, community members receive free participation for two employees in the annual Social Work Research Days (participation without membership 60€/day and 100€/2days per employee).
Membership fees
- Full member 45 euros
- Concurrent member 35 euros (Concurrent members of the Finnish Social Policy Association)
- Social work students and pensioners 20 euros
- Community members 235 euros
